The relationship between straw crushing and animal breeding
In the past, there were a lot of crop straws in rural areas that had no use value and could only be disposed of by incineration. Today’s straw materials can be widely used in various fields such as breeding, fuel, papermaking, biogas production, etc. after being processed by a series of commercial straw processing machines.
Especially in some aquaculture industries, the use of straw crushers to recycle straw can not only save aquaculture costs but also reduce environmental pollution. The material processed by the straw crusher is very fine and sawdust-shaped and can be mixed with some grains of cereals, used for feeding chickens, rabbits, geese, ducks, pigs, cattle, sheep and so on.
Why can straw be used for breeding after being processed by a straw crusher?
The main protein used for feeding animals is crude protein fiber, and its components include crude cellulose, cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin. Corn straw, rice straw, wheat straw, oat straw, sorghum straw and other materials are very common and cheap feed for farmers.
Different straws, the nutrients and components of each part are very different from the digestibility of poultry. The protein content in straw is not too high, usually only about 3% -6% of the total composition. Regarding the protein required by poultry, it can only be maintained at about 70%.
Therefore, breeders usually need to add protein-containing organic materials to the straw debris to make the nutrition of animal feed more balanced so that poultry can grow healthily.
